• US ratification of the Framework Treat on Tobacco Control
• Questioning political influence in the Federal Department of Justice's lawsuit against the tobacco companies
• Passage of increased State tobacco sales tax to fund tobacco prevention work and to reduce consumption
• Support local proposals to decrease exposure to secondhand smoke
• Support increased access to cessation services for smokers trying to quit
